La rebelión de las aburridas (The Rebellion of the Bored Women)
Raquel Klein and Raquel Gualtero, together with ZA!, construct a performance that, through the overproduction and overexploitation of the choreographic and sound material, reflects on time and corporeality.
As a means of reflection, together with ZA! Raquel & Raquel will create a performance in which the choreographic and sound material will be constructed by way of overproduction and overexploitation. A constant production of “capitalist” bodies, tireless and selfless. “Meat” thrown in the eyes of a famished spectator. And thus, perhaps, they will make us realize that the time has come to get back our time and our lost corporeality.
Raquel Klein and Raquel Gualtero, as independent creators, met when they were working under the direction of Lipi Hernández. There they felt the need to bring their imaginaries closer together as the external eye of their own work as choreographers. In La rebelión de las aburridas they wish to unite their most intimate universes to confront critical and fragile aspects of creation through the body. Convinced, they insist, that the time has perhaps come to rediscover our corporeality, often the great overlooked aspect of late modernity and in new dramaturgies.
At the Centre Cívic Barceloneta, the show La rebelión de las aburridas by Raquel Klein and Raquel Gualtero is included on a double bill with COSSOC, by Anamaria & Magí. You only have to make one booking for both shows.
