Mosaïque
Mosaïque is a choreographic piece inspired by the ornamental and diverse motifs that are a hallmark of the Malandain Ballet Biarritz. From different eras, with changing forms and tones, they weave together Mozart, Saint-Saëns, Chopin, and Tchaikovsky to express all kinds of emotions through their movements and figures. A performance that culminates in the apotheosis of a human mosaic united in the intensity of Ravel's famous orchestral ballet Boléro.
Directed by the renowned French dancer and choreographer Thierry Malandain, and to widespread acclaim across Europe and around the world, the Malandain Ballet Biarritz company is made up of over 20 dancers who perform highly evocative pieces, always met with long applause, known for their exceptional plasticity within contemporary dance today.
