Art as a tool for social transformation

A conversation between Lia Rodrigues and the educator and activist Eliana Sousa to tell us how education and artistic experiences are becoming key factors in social action for the Redes da Maré organisation and the Centre de les Arts, in Rio de Janeiro. Eliana Sousa Silva is the director and founder of Redes de Desenvolvimento da Maré, an NGO created in 1997 after a long process of action and community movement in the Maré favelas in Rio de Janeiro.
