Transmissions: Illustrated talk on the subject of urban dances

Music, audio-visuals, the word and movement live onstage are combined in this talk-show that seeks to explain urban dances in all their dimensions. It offers a dynamic and accessible discourse for people of all ages, enriching for both expert audiences and for those who wish to find out more about urban dances.

Transmissions is the result of an investigation begun by Guille Vidal-Ribas and Javi Casado, that brings together the knowledge acquired over two decades as urban dancers, and combines it with information taken from a broad documentary base and from interviews with pioneering figures and national and international points of reference in this field.

Admission to this activity will be free with anti-Covid measures in l'Hospitalet and free of charge with advance booking in Cornellà and Badalona.

Notice about the full video: this danced talk was recorded at the Teatre L’Artesà in El Prat de Llobregat on 9 February 2021. During the function, one of the performers was injured and it was necessary to make several interruptions. Despite that, the resulting video has been edited to generate a feeling of continuity, and to make the viewing experience as faithful as possible to that of a live audience under normal circumstances.
