Two middle-aged men meet to share their histories, their experience as performers and the time that passes and does not wait through flamenco.
Two middle-aged men, performers, directors, fathers and maestros, emotional, well-travelled and wizened, burned out, tired and passionate meet on the stage in this show in which the two performers attempt to find an intimacy to share the past and live in the moment. And they do so always playing with their bodies that have been accumulating scars and pleasures, on a knife edge and losing their way, in precarious equilibriums and feeling hand-tied. The voice of Paula Domínguez, who fuses flamenco, soul and improvisation, and the music of Izaskun Barbarie will take them through different flamenco and contemporary sound spaces.
Jordi Cortés (Barcelona, 1964) and Iván Góngora (Alicante, 1978) began moving their bodies at a very early age and began training to be dancers.
After "Solitud" Jordi danced with artists and companies from Barcelona like DV8 Physical Theater or David Zambrano. Later he joined Alta Realitat and La Caldera, which led him to create the dance and diversity collective Liant La Troca.
Iván survived the stereotype of flamenco and achieved his own personality of movement by fusing flamenco, dance-theatre and performance. He grew artistically with María Pages and Joaquín Cortés and evolved in tablaos and other companies. With an international career, he has worked with Increpación Danza and Mercedes Boronat, while never ceasing to create through his project Iván Gongora Movement.
