FAMILY WORKSHOP: Dansa i ritme
The workshops that are organized, based on the show AKZAK, offer a practical and theoretical experience of the concepts of rhythmic and danced movement.
A dialogue between a choreographic composition and a musical score, AKZAK explores the close bond between these two arts. Rhythm, through its impacts and resonances, is a trigger primed to make people dance. It is universal, and causes sensory shocks that no bodies can resist. The workshops that are organized, based on the show AKZAK, provide a practical and theoretical experience of these concepts: rhythmic and danced movement.
Héla Fattoumi and Éric Lamoureux founded the company FATTOUMI / LAMOUREUX with their first work, Husaïs, which won the prize for First Work at the international choreographic competition in Bagnolet in 1990, followed by the trio Afternoon, Prix New Talents Danse from the SACD in 1991. These two works placed them at the forefront of a new generation of contemporary creation and brought them international recognition. Appointed directors of the National Choreography Centre in Caen in 2004, they continued their approach through pieces more focused on themes of a highly social nature. Since 2015, Héla Fattoumi and Éric Lamoureux have been in charge of the National Choreography Centre in Belfort, which they have renamed VIADANSE, and they have created eight pieces since they arrived, including AKZAK. During the 2020-2021 season they commemorated the 30th anniversary of the company’s creation.
