Poema circular

Poema circular is an exercise in composition. A work about the beauty of movement that highlights the simplicity of crossing bodies and the transformation of a collective mass. Students at the Institut del Teatre’s Conservatori Superior de Dansa perform a piece created by the renowned dancer Lorena Nogal, about the movement of bodies. A reflection on the ephemeral.

Lorena Nogal, who trained as a dancer at the Institut del Teatre, has for more than 14 years been an active part of the artistic team of La Veronal as an assistant choreographer and dancer. In 2016 she won the prize for best female performer in the Catalan Critics’ Awards, and two years later, with different companies, she set up the Hotel Col·lectiu Escènic project. Her latest creation Alegorías, el límite y sus mapas, a collaboration with the flamenco dancer Paula Comitre, was presented in February at the Théâtre Chaillot in Paris. She also gives courses on the Kova method, a language of movement that she has developed in recent years at La Veronal.
