rojos
With contemporary dance as the protagonist, this piece gives expression to testimonies, samples of work and theoretical and artistic information about the years after the Spanish Civil War.
This piece is the result of two years’ research into the period after the Spanish Civil War based on a parallel project, roges, which seeks to work on the memory through immersions in the territory. And it does so generating synergies with particular testimonies, samples of work processing the choreographic material, and theoretical and artistic information about the period. Through contemporary dance the dancers offer non-narrative discourses that evoke collective imaginaries. A good opportunity to listen, learn, repair and make visible contact with the territory.
The Miquel Barcelona dance company brings together and collaborates with people, institutions and projects that work in alignment with five or six main areas of interest: territory, memory, sustainability, education and audience generation. Generating in this way a commitment to the cultural sector, current affairs and society understood as a living tension between the different agents that make it up.
