To celebrate its 50th anniversary, this Canadian company is back with a mixed programme featuring works by three acclaimed international choreographers. Ausia Jones, company artist and emerging choreographer, presents We Can’t Forget About What’s His Name; Crystal Pite, one of the great choreographers of the moment, revives Ten Duets on a Theme of Rescue, and Aszure Barton presents her piece Les Chambres des Jacques, created in 2006 for the company and arranged for the occasion. This programme not only pays tribute to the company’s roots, but also serves as a springboard for a new artistic vision, a balance between its roots and the evolution of its mission over the upcoming half century.
