Tragédie, new edit

Two years after its premiere, the author has rewritten this choreographic poem, Tragédie, a vertiginous and chaotic choreography that represents the cycle of life and includes some gigantic percussion instruments.
The piece was premièred at the Avinyó festival in 2012 and instantly became a classic of contemporary dance. With rope on stage, the dancers show themselves as members of the community of human beings. They walk, they stand together, they confront each other... and they bear witness to our common destiny.
Olivier Dubois has been one of the most outstanding figures on the contemporary French dance scene for over 20 years. Author of radical performances as a choreographer, he has also performed for Angelin Preljocaj, the Cirque du Soleil, Jan Fabre, Dominique Boivin, Sasha Waltz and many others, and has created numerous pieces that have received various awards.
Held by Mercat de les Flors in cooperation with Dansa Metropolitana.
