Quatre octaves i mitja / Four eights and a half

Quatre octaves i mitja is a show that could be a concert which never gets to realize: an "oncert". Based on the biography of the American musician Jeff Buckley, a four-eighth-and-half-voice vocalist, choreographers make an entrance into issues such as melancholy, old age, death, love, chance, sadness and humor. The original texts, created by the two artists, and the lyrics of Alaska, Umberto Tozzi and Raphael, among others, poetically describe a fragmented universe full of sensations, forms and textures.

This show stems from the need to express the vital and professional maturity of creators, Mònica Muntaner and Rosa Muñoz.

Muñoz, codirector of Raravis from 1995 to 2009, has managed to combine her own creations alone with the collaborations with other choreographers such as Sofia Asencio and Carmelo Salazar, or with artists from other fields, like the poet Eduard Escoffet.

Muntaner, codirector of the creation space La Poderosa and cofounder of the groups Las Santas (multidisplinary artístic group) and ARTAS (Artistes Associats a La Poderosa), has worked as a dancer/interpreter with different creators and companies. The last creations are Abans i després de ballar (participative performance), BCN XXI (Experimental Television Lab), with Dani Miracle, and Sessions remotes (installation, action).
