Hidden
The renowned choreographer Lali Ayguadé concludes her trilogy about identity with Hidden, in which she speaks of all the things that define us, but which have been hidden under the veil of the unconscious.
Hidden concludes the trilogy formed by Kokoro (2015) and iU an Mi (2017), reflecting on identity. This latest piece casts its gaze over the things that define us, but which – over time – have been hidden under the veil of the unconscious. Our present blurs the past. And life, which never stops and pushes us without respite, leaves a trail of memories in its wake. Memories that pile up between the folds of the brain, as does dust underneath furniture. They remain in the shadows, hidden under web of deceit, of dreams, of subjective delusion. Because the past is past, and the present distorts it.
The Lali Ayguadé Company was founded in 2013, in Barcelona. The international career of its director, Lali Ayguadé, is remarkable for her collaboration and work in the most prestigious dance companies in the world. Having grown notably at both national and international level since its creation, the company has developed an important repertoire of works in different formats: creations of their own for the theatre (Kokoro in 2015, iU an Mi in 2017, Hidden in 2020) and for the street and unconventional venues (Incógnito, De camino al otro, Underneath, Gizaki), as well as collaborations with artists like Guilhem Chatir (Here, 2018) and Joana Gomila (Sa mateixa, 2018).
