PLI
An intelligent and playful solo in which even the most ordinary objects turn into incredible pieces of architecture, thanks to the imagination of this Czech creator.
22 conference chairs, an obsessive rhythm and a devout man. On a small platform this singular dancer immerses himself decisively in the effort for the undefined construction, reconstruction and deconstruction of the universe. The result is an intelligent and playful solo, a physical metaphor of infinite human dynamics, patience and effort, that turns even the commonest objects into incredible pieces of architecture. A production in which Baroque robustness meets contemporary minimalism in an ingenious and humorous way.
Based in Prague, Viktor Černický creates works that verge on the fine line between dance, circus and physical theatre. His works, based on the investigation of the dynamic between a performer and an object, surprised audiences all over Europe and won him several prizes. With PLI he has been selected at Aerowaves Twenty20.
