Migrare

Four women and an empty space, but mined with obstacles and invisible barriers, irrational hatreds and prejudices. This production, which can be seen in several cities in the festival, stages the journey of four strong, brave and above all resilient women, who had to leave their homeland and who face the reality that many refugees are currently suffering: the country they arrive in rejects them. During the show they move around the stage dancing on stilts looking for their place. A place in which to live, to stay, to put down roots, to be. A place they can call home.

Founded in 2004 by Joan Santacreu, the Cia.Maduixa produces artistic creations for the theatre and the street for all kinds of people. The use of stilts as a key element for telling a story has become a trait that characterizes and defines the company, opening up a world of possibilities for structuring a dialogue between dance, gesture and balance, with the aim of exploring new performing languages. Over the years his creations have won more than 20 prizes, including three MAX Prizes and four FETEN Prizes, and he has performed in numerous festivals and theatres in more than 25 countries all over the world.
