Teatre Principal

Situated in the Centre neighbourhood of Badalona, the Principal is a municipal theatre that occupies the building of the former Cinema Principal (1942), which closed in 1980.

The auditorium has retractable tiered seating, making it flexible and enabling it to be turned into a totally open space of 320 m2 suitable for holding all kinds of events. Its capacity varies from 354 seats (Sala Enric Borràs) to 90 seats (Sala Pepe Rubianes) depending on the configuration. With the seats removed, it can hold 500 people standing. Its spatial versatility and conceptual simplicity make it one of the most multipurpose rooms of the Centre d'Arts Escèniques de Badalona.
