The art of imitation, copying, is inherent to the human being. Even so, we attach a negative character to it. The company explores this concept and presents a dialogue made of light, sound and movement between originality and copy. As protagonists, a group of boys and girls from the audience, between 8 and 9 years old, will be invited to share the stage performance. There will be no need for any preparation or training, because, here, the main role is played by the expression of the child's spontaneous and natural movement. The kids will be accompanied on stage by circus artist Quim Girón.
Animal Religion is a circus company interested in the search for new paths in contemporary circus and interdisciplinarity. Its three main areas of work are circus, light and music. In the 11 years of their career they have performed new shows which have very different formats. They have received several awards, including the Premi Especial Ciutat de Barcelona [Special City of Barcelona Award] for the show Sifonòfor in 2016.
Held by Mercat de les Flors in cooperation with Dansa Metropolitana.
