Mourad Merzouki, one of the creators of the urban dance group Accrorap, which will perform at the opening of Dansa Metropolitana 2024, founded his own company in 1996 with a name (Käfig) that means “cage” in both German and Arabic, referring to his desire to avoid being boxed into a single discipline. Circus, martial arts, fine arts and many more languages come together in the creations of the company led by Merzouki, one of the key figures in hip-hop since the 1990s.

The event is for urban dance students from dance schools in the city.
