It’s a wrap (Kubrick is dead)
Six characters from Kubrick’s films receive the news of their creator's death. What will happen to them now? Will they attempt to defend their identity and existence and give shape to their drama and individual destinies? Based on this fictional framework, LA INTRUSA presents a work which reflects on the moment that exists between the end of one thing and the beginning of another. This work is influenced by other disciplines: stage and music elements to help us reflect on our capacity to adapt to various life situations.
The LA INTRUSA company, which is made up of Virginia García and Damián Muñoz, celebrated its twentieth anniversary in 2015 with the National Dance Prize. Its shows are notable for their ability to create poetic performances with considerable visual and emotional impact, invariably aimed at empathising with audiences in an intimate tone. Their starting point is a work on reflections and transferring metaphors on stage, through movement, sound and words.
