Malditas plumas [Damned feathers]
What happens at night remains in the night... That is how Sol Picó describes this show. With a nod to the Avinguda del Paral·lel. The artist and choreographer draws her inspiration from the genre of revues, which made Avinguda del Paral·lel so popular at that time, and included characteristics that still seem unconventional today, such as interdisciplinarity, breaking away from traditional morals and expressing social transformations. This is all combined with an underground, secluded, secret and vaguely clandestine atmosphere, in order to take a look at the dark side of being human, through the eyes of vedettes. You will see a lot of chaos and lots of sequins. A lot of bird feathers and above all, goose bumps.
Sol Picó is one of the most heterodox and renowned choreographers and dancers on the contemporary scene. She has put on over thirty shows, taking them to over 35 countries. She has won many awards, including ten Max Awards, the 2004 National Dance Award of Catalonia, the 2016 National Dance Award in the creation category and the 2019 Valencia Performing Arts Award for best choreographer.
Sol Picó will offer a chat after the function of Saturday 28 March.
