Every year, one of the main goals of Dansa Metropolitana is to make dance accessible to all. Little ones will also be able to enjoy dance with a variety of family-friendly performances scheduled for this edition in different cities throughout the Barcelona metropolitan area.

During the first week of the festival, the Mercat de les Flors will host two family events: Marion Muzac’s Le petit B (three sessions on Saturday, 15 March), a sensory adventure recommended for children aged 2 and over, and Mette Ingvartsen’s Skatepark (15 and 16 March), a show for a young audience that older children are sure to love.

On Sunday, 16 March, Teatre Zorrilla in Badalona will present Brodas BrosPetit Break, recommended for children aged 3 to 9, and Sala Ramón Romagosa in Cornellà will stage a ballet for the whole family that tells the story of La Ventafocs [Cinderella], performed by Pocket Ballet BCN.

On the second weekend of Dansa Metropolitana 2025, the Mercat de les Flors once again has a show for children aged 5 to 11: Lavaelo’s Is This a Dance?, on 22 and 23 March at 12 pm and 7 pm.

There will also be two opportunities to enjoy Animal Religion’s Copiar [Copying] in two of the cities hosting the festival: on 23 March at 6 pm at Teatre Auditori in Granollers, and on 30 March at 6 pm at Teatre-Auditori Sant Cugat.

Finally, Brodas Bros will put on a second show for the whole family at Atrium Viladecans: DOJI, featuring light displays, rhythms, and lots of movement that will get everyone up and out of their seats.

And don’t forget that the free street performances and all the events in the Vibracions project, also free of charge, are a perfect opportunity to enjoy dance with the youngest members of the family once again this year with Dansa Metropolitana!
