‘Vibracions’: the relationship between movement and sound features in Dansa Metropolitana 2025
Our deepest and innermost feelings are what makes us vibrate. A body, a sound, a wave, a sensation that moves us from within and expands outwards.
This is the starting point of the Vibracions project, which is coming to various Dansa Metropolitana cities in 2025 to make people and festival venues vibrate, with the goal of spotlighting the relationship between movement and sound as a dramaturgical device.
Vibracions will take a three-way dialogue between dance professionals, music professionals and local dance schools to the cities to present actions created, performed and danced by the schools’ students in valuable heritage venues which will make us vibrate and create synergies among artistic sectors.
Within the project, a group choreography has been created by the choreographer Sheila Ortega with music by Aurora Bauzà (Rec Telemann), which will be performed by the local dance schools in the participating cities.

15 March at 12 noon in Plaça Victòria dels Àngels in Sant Cugat: with the professional show Zitzània [Darnel] by Lali Ayguadé and Joan Ramon Graell, a choreography by Federica Porello with music by Ensamble Contratemps and sound space by Miquel Segovia and Laura Viladrich, with the schools La Tacones and Laura Esteve Centre de Dansa, and a Vibracions group choreography with the Viviana Hounie Dance Studio.
15 March at 6 pm in Plaça de l’Església in Granollers: with the professional show El Baile de la Zurda [The Dance of the Left-Handed Woman] by LaCerda, a choreography by Pere Faura with the schools Bambú Escola de Dansa and Kilometro13 Dance Studio, while the Àgueda Murillo school will join them for the performance of the Vibracions group choreography..
16 March at 6 pm at the Dipòsit del Rei Martí in Barcelona: with the professional show CASA 4 by Les Impuxibles, a choreography by Javi Soler and Mar Garcia and the Escola de Dansa Isabel Porcar, who will also perform the Vibracions group choreography.
23 March at 12 noon at Barcelona's Moll de Mestral: with the professional show MEGASTRUCTURE by Sarah Baltzinger and Isaiah Wilson, a choreography by Ariadna Montfort with music by Nil Ciuró, and Area, Escola de Dansa i Creació. This school will also perform the Vibracions group choreography.
23 March at 12 noon in Plaça de l’Església in Cornellà: with the professional shows TRÏADE by the Colectivo Glovo and PLATA by the Col·lectiu Big Bouncers, a choreography by Barbara Cappi with music by Adrià Juan and Óscar Garrobe Duarte, and the schools Star Dance Studio and TP Dance Center. Two more schools, Escola Eva Gris and Absolute Dance, will join them to perform the Vibracions group choreography.
23 March at 12 noon in Plaça de l’Argub in Sabadell: with the professional show Zitzània [Darnel] by Lali Ayguadé and Joan Ramon Graell, a choreography by Laia Vila with music by CUROS, and the Teatre-dansa Petit Món association. The Escola de Dansa Bots will join them to perform the Vibracions group choreography.
23 March at 7 pm in the Jardins de La Pau in El Prat: with the professional show SEU AQUÍ [SIT HERE] by the Colectivo Banquet, a choreography by Olga Clavel with music by Darío Díaz, and the schools L’Escola d’Arts en Viu, Escuela Flamenco Mavi Arias and Estudi 10, who will also perform the Vibracions group choreography.
29 March at 6 pm in the Jardins de Can Sumarro in L’Hospitalet: with the professional show El Baile de la Zurda [The Dance of the Left-Handed Woman] by LaCerda, a choreography by Andrea Jiménez with music by Gabriel Montes Besolí, and the school ACA Marismas del Guadalquivir, while another school Ruski Dance Company will join them to perform the Vibracions group choreography.
The Vibracions project will close out the 20th Dansa Metropolitana with a huge party in Parc de la Ciutadella on 30 March where everyone will be able to enjoy rhythm, community and dance. It will kick off with the Block Party, a show by Brodas Bros & Nacion Funk All Stars, and continue with the local dance schools that have participated in the project, who will perform the Vibracions group choreography for the last time. The event will finish with a huge festival with entertainment by Pere Faura and a DJ session so everyday can dance together!
