AKZAK, the impatience of a young connected
A percussionist playing live and 12 young dancers from different African countries offer us a show with energetic and frantic dances recommended for people of all ages.
Programmed by the Mercat de les Flors.
A percussionist playing live and 12 young dancers from Burkina Faso, Egypt, France, Morocco and Tunisia form a singular group that puts on the stage concepts such as hospitality, fraternity and solidarity between peoples. Eclectic and complex rhythms, by the percussionist Xavier Desandre Navarre, are expressed through the energetic bodies of the dancers, in a show for people of all ages.
Since 2015, Héla Fattoumi and Éric Lamoureux have been directing VIADANSE, the National Choreography Centre of Burgundy-Franche Comté in Belfort, where they carry out a cross-border and international cooperation project. They develop cooperation projects with the involvement of contemporary dance artists and structures: in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) with the CDC La Termitière and choreographers Salia Sanou and Seydou Boro, and in Morocco with the choreographer Taoufiq Izeddiou. In Tunisia, where Héla Fattoumi was born, for 30 years they have been taking part in the development of choreographic art.
This project has been labelled Africa 2020 by the French Institute. The season Africa 2020, led by the French Institute, is a window of visibility for contemporary African creation in France.
The company offers prefuction colloquiums at 11 noon and 5 pm.
