On an increasingly populated planet, we feel more alone than ever. We move in circles, avoiding stillness, without direction, in search of the other who is supposed to complete us, of authenticity that we can no longer recognise in a world of lonely and grey people, where most of our interactions take place online. The Sol Picó dance company reflects on the loneliness of today's society.
The company, founded in 1994 by dancer and choreographer Sol Picó, has experimented with the blending of genres since its inception. Constantly energised by humour, their works have a distinctive and unique style. What once seemed like a risky concept is now the raw material for all their creations. What was once a challenge has now become their working dynamic.
