Connection

Connection is an interdisciplinary show with dance and live music. The proposal speaks to us of reconnecting with the essence of being and questions the lack of connection with oneself and, therefore, with others. Connection sets out to show the importance of connection in today’s society, one of individualism and, frankly, loneliness. Through the synergy between movement and sound, everything is reduced to the simplicity of two bodies exploring, in the same space, the way of expressing the complex concept of connection and its questions.

The dancer and choreographer Arina Lannoo created Ambae Company in 2019, together with musician Tito Ripoll, and after working for more than eight years with choreographers like Rachid Ouramdane or Loïc Perela. The company’s ambition is to work on very human and social themes, as well as finding new ways of communicating these issues, so important today. The company’s name comes from the word “ambivalence”, which points out a very human trait; the contradiction between our thoughts and feelings.
