Cuerpo nombrado

Cuerpo nombrado is a fantasy, a journey and a stage game starring three bodies, those of the bailaora [flamenco dancer], the cantaor [flamenco singer] and the guitarist, who cross the boundaries of their own skin to merge into an open and boundless flamenco.Paula Comitre uses the language of flamenco to address us with friendly, amusing, sometimes furious rhetoric, in which the artist shows both spirit and energy as well as creativity and serenity.
Paula Comitre is a bailaora born in Seville in 1994 who has worked at the Centro Andaluz de Danza (CAD) and the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía under the direction of Rafaela Carrasco. In 2016, she joined David Coria and Rafaela Carrasco’s company. She premiered her first solo show in 2020, Cámara abierta, and in 2022 she premiered Alegorías (El límite y sus mapas) at the Teatre National de Chaillot, in Paris. That same year she premiered Cuerpo nombrado at the Festival Flamenco Madrid and, later, at the London Flamenco Festival.
