EDRA
A solo constructed in five scores and in Spanish dance code, accompanied with modern jazz music played live on stage. A space for reflection about the feeling of belonging and rootedness to both genres.
This singular concert that fuses modern jazz with a flamenco solo. It clearly shows the dialogue and the reconsideration of codes between the two disciplines, on the same level and in the same space of time, through classical compositional tools and musical improvisation of jazz and folk dance. With this union, the artists create a link between different identities that construct, for the spectator, the feeling of belonging and rootedness to both genres through the figure(s) of the soloist(s).
