Dance, flamenco, music and poetry come together in this show to expose the inner struggle of a man at the present moment of his life. This is a man who is trying to find his place in a world that is constantly changing, where all the beliefs and values that have been passed down to him no longer work. A journey that invites us to reflect on what lives inside us, who we are, where we are, how we live and what limits us.
The Iván Góngora Company, directed by the bailaor [flamenco dancer] of the same name, investigates the search for new registers. It establishes a conversation between dance, music and voice, which is expressed through flamenco combined with dance-theatre and performance art. Flamenco lends the beat, the rhythm, the movement and the strength that, accompanied by classical, romantic and contemporary music and voices, give meaning to the emotions that need to be expressed.
The company offers an after-show discussion.
