Born in 1957 and gone in 2017, Josep Aznar trained as a technical engineer, but soon decided to work as a professional photographer, with a special interest in performing arts photography.

He was the official photographer of the Peralada Festival, the dance season at the Centre Cultural Caixa Terrassa and the Espai de Dansa i Música de la Generalitat [Dance and Music Space of the Government of Catalonia], among many other key dance events and venues.

Now, this photography exhibition at the Institut de Teatre’s Museum of the Performing Arts will be paying a well-deserved homage to the man who captured the contemporary Catalan dance scene in images.
