Highlands
A show about space and bodies in which the music of Bach opens the doors of time and speaks to us of passion and the longing to find this vast, wild, inhospitable place that is Highlands.
Mal Pelo proposes a sound and visual journey for us in which the audience feels the power of the group in space, the presence of the individual, and where the mixture of different disciplines summons a plural body, prepared to be inhabited and crossed through. The show is the third part of a work that analyses and focuses in detail on listening to and visualizing the structures, harmonies and voices of the music of J. S. Bach.
Mal Pelo is a creative performance group codirected by Pep Ramis and María Muñoz, with more than 30 shows created to date. Since 1989 it has developed its own artistic language through movement and the creation of dramaturgies that include the text, original soundtracks, live music, and the construction of stage spaces, including light and video. During its career the company has received several awards, outstanding among them the National Prize for Culture of Catalonia, the City of Barcelona Prize and the National Prize for Culture.
This show offers a post function colloquium on Sunday, March 27.
