Kintsugi: La estética de la imperfección (The aesthetics of imperfection)

Kintsugi is a Japanese technique for repairing objects that dates back to the 15th century, and a philosophy that considers that cracks and repairs are part of an object’s history and beauty, and that they should not be hidden. Interested in the new languages and in the limits of movement, Iron Skulls Co. immerses itself, through dance, in the search for the relationship between technique, beauty and imperfection.

This group from Barcelona, comprising male and female dancers from all over Spain, is well known for its peculiar style, continually attempting to investigate the limits of movement by mixing different disciplines like break-dance, hip-hop, contemporary dance, acrobatics and martial arts.
