This proposal for a multidisciplinary performance fuses contemporary dance, electronic music, voice, light and theatricality. The show takes as a reference the raven, the omnivorous scavenging bird most present in mythology and the arts. This animal associated with death is regarded as an intermediary between the earthly and spiritual worlds. The piece also plays with the homophony of the English word “corpse”, meaning cadaver, lifeless body. A piece that explores popular tradition and human practices regarding violence, vigil and death.

The Miquel Barcelona Dance Company brings together and works with people, institutions and projects that work in alignment with five main areas of interest: territory, memory, sustainability, education and audience generation. They understand artistic practice as a tool for social transformation.
