This event has two parts, the first for eating, chatting and enjoying the various artistic interventions created expressly for La Diürna, and the second for dancing and sweating away in the festive electronic music sessions with dancers who know how to make even the plates twist and turn, and with contemporary go-go dancers, dolled-up drag queens and nocturnal performances. All guided and presented by Pere Faura and part of his troupe of dance fanatics.
Jordi Surribas will be organising a sparkly beard workshop, Tristán Pérez Marín will be screening a video summary of La Quinzena, Eduard Escofet, Eduard Vallory and Júlia Bertran will be talking about the poetic, political and social value of dance… And that’s just for starters. After lunch, the party will begin, with DJ Erre, among numerous others, VJ Joan Escofet, performances by Bea Fernández and Sònia Gómez, the fantastic Las Fellini drag queens, and lots of other people who will be performing, dancing and dragging everyone out onto the dance floor. There will even be professional companies from the city (La Veronal, Los Moñekos, Sol Picó, XeviXaviXou and others).
Make sure that you book your ticket in advance at www.notikumi.com. Tickets are free but there’s limited capacity.
La Diürna will run from 12.30 to 10.00 pm. Shortly beforehand, Tothom Balla will be put on in the Jardins de les Tres Xemeneies.
