MULÏER

Five dancers on stilts investigate the physical limits between dance and balance, poetry, movement, strength and emotions. MULÏER arose from the need to explore the feminine identity through body movement, with an emphasis on image, visual poetry and narration to shake up the spectator's emotions.

MULÏER is a tribute to all those women who, during centuries and centuries of oppression, struggled and continue to struggle to keep their wild side alive, and who claim the right to dance and run freely in the streets of our society.

The Maduixa Company, created by Joan Santacreu in 2004 in Sueca (València), has become established through the creation of unique shows, rigorous work and delicate research during the creative process for their montages. They have toured extensively in over twenty countries in Europe, Asia, North America and Central America. They have also won prestigious prizes, such as the MAX Award for their shows Dot and MULÏER.

Maduixa Company will offer a colloquium after the show on Saturday, 21 March. Activity organized jointly with Recomana.cat.
