PARA CUATRO JINETES [FOR FOUR RIDERS]
PARA CUATRO JINETES is a work that examines the body and the states of time. The body is both rider and horse, galloping through our past, present and future to better understand who we are and what we are doing. Folklore is the night of this show: an enormous, mysterious and often confusing place originating from legends, rituals, festivals and dances that we have created throughout history. We’ll never know for sure how people danced in the past. Could it be that two centuries ago there were songs and dances about rockets that had not yet been invented?
Mucha Muchacha was founded by Ana Botía, Marta Mármol, Belén Martí Lluch and Marina de Remedios in 2019. As a young company trained in Spanish dance and flamenco, they work from the contemporaneity of folklore, interacting with and incorporating other languages that enhance contact with audiences, always with a commitment to innovation onstage.
The company offers an after-show discussion on March 15.
