PLATA / Too much / JARANA
"PLATA", Col·lectiu Big Bouncers
PLATA is a work that uses areas of transit to highlight the idea of contagion, influence, expansion, and the transformation of what we perceive. A way of looking at the spaces we inhabit from a different perspective, allowing us to see ourselves affected by our surroundings. This is why the piece is named PLATA, as silver is a malleable metal with the highest electrical and thermal conductivity of any other metal.
The Big Bouncers Collective is made up of Anna Rubirola, Cecilia Colacrai, and Mireia de Querol, three creators with extensive individual careers as well as collaborations with other artists. Initially, the collective emerged with a clear interest in the body and its possibilities, pushing beyond the boundaries of dance. Their works aim to invite without imposing and to suggest without constricting the public's imagination.

"Too much", ELELEI
What happens when fear is greater than love? Too much delves into the deterioration of human relationships through the concept of overprotection. With this piece, Elelei sought to explore what it means to try to stop someone against their will, the act of restricting a person's freedom out of affection. A creation that is both playful and serious, daring and suitable for all audiences.
Elelei was created in 2020 by Sabrina Gargano (Italy) and Rafa Jagat (Valencia) with the aim of investigating a unique language through contemporary dance and physical theatre. Since then, they have created three performances that have won international awards and continue to tour worldwide. Too much was a co-production of Dansa Metropolitana.
Too much can also be seen on March 23 in Granollers in a double program with Cia. Miquel Barcelona.

"JARANA", Laia Santanach
JARANA investigates traditional collective practices that have disappeared or are on the verge of disappearing. A piece that invites reflection on the preservation of traditional group celebrations, concluding a cycle of three projects by the Laia Santanach company, in which the human need for connection and belonging in an increasingly changing and technological world has been observed.
Laia Santanach is a choreographer, dancer, and educator from Barcelona, recognised both nationally and internationally. She currently directs her own dance company, with which she has been exploring tradition and ritual since 2018. JARANA (premiered at Teatros del Canal and Mercat de les Flors) is the final part of a trilogy to be presented at Dansa Metropolitana 2025, which began with ÀER and continued with TRADERE.
