Born deaf into a Roma family in the suburbs of Barcelona, La Singla rose to international fame at the age of 17, captivating audiences with her surprisingly passionate performances. Her life is the subject of a film that links the present and the past and is a fascinating exploration of dance as expression, movement as experiment and performance as rage.
