SOY MADERA

I take the decision to use wood to cope with my anger as a woman. I use heavy wooden poles. I symbolise this emotion from weight, precariousness and constancy in order to achieve my objectives without ever losing my poise.
ELELEI was born in 2019 from the collaboration between Sabrina Gargano (Barletta, Italy) and Rafa Jagat (Valencia), with the idea of bringing their dance and theatre backgrounds together to create a multidisciplinary language where humour, movement, impossible acrobatics and theatricality converge. Their motivation is to tell stories and to ask why things happen.
