In his new solo, Thomas Hauert aims to delve deeper into a creative process already present in his last two works: transforming psychology, inner life, emotions, and the unconscious into the driving force of movement. The solo stems from the experience of the outsider's position, that of someone who is not part of the group, observing from the outside. Troglodyte is the fourth solo created by Hauert in his 27-year career.
The Swiss choreographer Thomas Hauert founded the ZOO company in Brussels in 1998 after working as a dancer with Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, David Zambrano, Pierre Droulers and others. He has created over 20 pieces which have been performed all around the world. Hauert has also developed an internationally renowned teaching method based on research into movement and regularly conducts workshops in numerous countries. He has a long-standing relationship with the Barcelona community and has collaborated with choreographers such as Àngels Margarit and the collective Group La Bolsa.
