"Vermell Kojak", ADOCTRINADES
A solo dance that leads the audience to imagine the inside of a black hole whose existence we can perceive through a musical composition created with the real sound drawn from its depths. Vermell Kojak is set in a fictional utopian world, enabling young and old alike to escape from their everyday surroundings. Red (vermell means ‘red’ in Catalan), the protagonist here, symbolises innocence, and its lost, in a stage set inspired by Lamorisse’s Le Ballon Rouge, the psychedelic world of Yayoi Kusama and Balloon Girl, and graffiti by elusive street artist Banksy.
After a long career as a performer, working with internationally acclaimed choreographers and stage directors and performing in many of the world's most emblematic theatres, Virginia Gimeno Folgado founded Adoctrinades in 2015. The company's work is strongly influenced by the German Tanztheatre, and as well as seeking emotional states and connecting them with both the body and the mind, they combine the abstract movement of dance with music, words and visual effects, inviting the audience to explore philosophical thought and question what might be hidden behind established truths.

"La Banda", OtraDanza
La Banda is a chaotic nomadic family. Five fun characters who are all very different, but who complement each other to perfection, meet, work together, have fun and share knowledge and experience. A piece that paints a picture of teamwork, demanding a space to share, discovering the meaning of being, of life and of living together from childhood. A show that is full of humour, dance, and nods to the circus where audiences will learn about sharing, connecting, adapting and reinventing oneself as part of a team.
OtraDanza, founded by Asun Noales in 2007, has developed a very personal style in its stage productions, which are based on a physical and poetic language and careful staging. Its repertoire is made up of a diversity of projects and formats, covering a broad spectrum and addressing innovative and socially committed themes. Asun Noales' work has received a number of awards, including the AE Valenciana and MAX awards.
