Opened in 1974 on the ground floor of an apartment block, it reopened in May 2010 in a new building, occupying 1,750 m2 above the Singuerlín Market. The mission of the Singuerlín Library in Santa Coloma de Gramenet is to meet the needs for information, culture, training and leisure of the citizens in District III. Its main objectives are to stimulate and promote reading in the district and to support continuous training; to be the immediate access to municipal public reading services and information technologies; to be an important centre for access to culture, and a major venue for meeting and exchange in the city.
