The Sala Poblenou is the performance space of the Centre Moral i Cultural del Poblenou, otherwise known simply as “the Centre”, an association that formed in this working-class neighbourhood in Barcelona in 1910 and which has continued to carry out its mission without interruption ever since.

Its presence in the life of the neighbourhood stretching back for over a hundred years and its more than a thousand members and collaborators have created a climate in the Sala Poblenou that make it possible to put on and/or enjoy theatre shows and readings, choral singing, classical and modern music concerts, literary gatherings, outings, talks and colloquiums, domino championships, handicrafts events, drawing, painting, etc. In addition, it also provides opportunities for learning in its music and classical ballet schools and in its theatre workshops.
