English National Ballet (ENB)
A new version of this classic ballet by Akram Khan is one of the most important choreographers on the international scene. Giselle de Khan reinvents the language of classical dance to turn the protagonist into an energetic and furious woman, a heroine of our times that fights against abuse of power. A modern and risky proposal that deserves the unanimous applause of the critics.

Sergei Polunin was the youngest dancer of the Royal Ballet. His extraordinary talent, however, became a curse, to the extent that he retired at only 25, overwhelmed by fame. This film covers the life of this young person who transformed the usual image of the classical ballet, becoming viral.
Every Saturday after the programme, La Caldera, centre of dance and performing arts creativity, proposes musical moments for us, to end the night in a joyful and festive atmosphere.
The first one (16 March) will be given by Poderío Vital (Itxaso Corral and Òscar Bueno), a project that moves between the performing arts, performance, the text and musical composition.
As part of Dansa Metropolitana, the Sala Hiroshima, a point of reference for contemporary creation and the art of movement, proposes two activities to complement the programme, which make interaction between the artist and the audience possible, as well as dialogue between (national and international) creators and the young hopefuls trained in this country.

Cloenda a Badalona
After getting the boys and girls to take part in a collective dance, Badalona says farewell to the 2019 edition of Dansa Metropolitana, as do the other cities, with Tothom balla (Everybody Dance!) and a display by local associations and schools. On 30 March, every city dances!
A free and challenging interpretation of La consagració de la primavera and a masterpiece of Igor Stravinsky, a complex dramatic and choreographic play. Sacre dismantles the movements of the Cuban salsa and reconstructs them into a piece for five dancers, two women and three men, merged into a rhythmic, warm and evocative dance. In this Sacre by Emanuel Gat - a review of the homonymous piece that Gat himself created in 2004 - there is no sacrifice, as it happened to Stravinsky's original ballet, but an air of ceremony, of ritual, absolutely captivating.
2017 Moritz FiraTàrrega Award for the Best Street Arts Performance, Conseqüències is a show for all audiences that explores, through the movement, the relationships between reality and fiction in our everyday life and fast-paced time we live in. An ironic and joyful work about the possibility of being displaced, outdated, late... and about its resulting consequences.
